Its not that I don't like watching beach volleyball. Its a really great sport and a way for volleyball to get exposure. The problem is that its hard to watch down here. ESPN doesn't play it very often and sometimes it's during work so I can't watch it.
I think the other problem is that I have no favorite team. May/Walsh are great and so are Young/McPeak, but aside from them, there isn't much hype around the others. There are no great rivalries like you would have against Stanford or Long Beach.
College volleyball has been around for a while and beach volleyball is still relatively young. It will take some time before beach volleyball starts to gather a strong following.

Beach volleyball for me is more like promoting that sun and fun Rock and Roll lifestyle. Kinda like Snowboarding without the sun. Something fun to do but not fun to watch on TV. However I have been to several beach vball games and it is a lot of fun to be in that environment; the music, beautiful people, etc. As far as generating TV coverage for the indoor game, Indoor players should start wearing bathing/swimming suits/bikinis....there you go problem solved!

Brian ought to hang his bathing suit up. The last 2 years, One and done in the NCAA tournament. He's losing his touch. Speaking Bathing suits, Why are they called that? Nobody bathes in them. I'm mean people may shower in them after a swim but bathe? "Showering/Swimming suit" would be better terminology. We'll see what kind of a "tune" you are spewing next year after a seaon at UH of "major rebuild" proportions....add the rebuild with a couple of key injuries and you are on the outside looking in as well....don't be so !!!!###$$$!!!ing cute!
