Cassie Busse (27 points) exacted revenge on April Ross (25 points) and Katie Olsolvsky (13 pts) as her pro team came from behind 0-2 in games to win 3-2. Meanwhile, Kristee Porter's team Carolina beat Aury Cruz's team (3-1) although I don't think Aury was playing. The rest of the teams begin their season tonight. www.fpvoleibol.com/femenino.html

I don't think she was playing either, but I'm not sure that's even her team. I thought she was going to play with her sister and Nicole McCray on the Conquistadoras de Guaynabo team.
edit: never mind, Toa Baja is her team, still trying to find out if she played or not.

Is Lizzy Fitzgerald playing on Kristee Porter's team again this season?

That's the roster and pic from last season, so I am not sure. I don't think that Cheryl Weaver is playing for Criollas De Caguas with Willoughby either. Speaking of Willoughby, if Aury is playing for Toa Baja then they will square off again tonite.

The Criollas de Caguas defeated Guynabo. Scores were 25-12, 25-18, 25-15. The stats aren't yet reported but this was supposed to be Kim Willoughby's first match with the team.

Other former college players will be playing in the league as well. Sarah Butler who has trained with the National Team is with the ISABELA LAS PLAYERAS team along with former Ohio State player Dana Stearns. Laura Pilakowski will also be in the league playing for Guynabo. While she isn't a US player Janis Kelly from Canada will be playing for the San Juan squad. Kelly is avery powerful and dynamic outside hitter who has been Canada's top hitter for awhile.

"The opposed one...", that's great. And that has to be the best way to say "who reached the NCAA Women's Volleyball Final Four last month" I have ever seen.

Cassie Busse is doing might well in Corozal. In her second match with the team she had 32 points. However her team lost to Kristee Porter's Gigantes. Porter scored 26 points.
Stacy ROUWENHORSET from Pepperdine is also playing in the league with the San Juan program.
Florida's Aury Cruz is indeed playing for the Toa Baja squad and got a little redemption when she defeated April Ross and Katie Olsovsky's Ponce team in 4 games on the 16th. Aury scored 29 points.

Looking at the website for Ponce's roster, Katie O is literally a giant there as the line-up is rather short. After her, the next tallest is April and another middle, at 6"1. I believe the senior administrator for this team is Deborah Seilhamer's dad.
