Odd that we haven't seen Kyle Robinson from LIU Brooklyn mentioned for any of these jobs. All he's done is win back to back to back NEC coach of the year awards, hasn't lost a conference match since the 2011 and an NEC Three Peat. It's very week conference to begging with. He just took a job as a club Director in Brooklyn with his wife also working for that club. Regardless of NEC, he is doing good job.He does have resources at LIU, moved them for the first time into top 100, had some quality wins this year. But I don't see him leaving now.

So, how many emails are you sending? Are you "saying hi,"asking for something," "giving your DDs stats from her high school game?" Coaches have lots of responsibility, we need to realize that they only have a certain amount of time per day to work emails. And like you stated this is not uncommon. Cut some slack. And if you have ever been on campus you should see how much a difference he has made to raise the profile on one of the fastest growing campuses (athletically and number of students" in Florida. 15 years ago I thought of it as a commuter/cow college as we would say in Texas, now I wouldn't hate my son going there in a few years. Todd turned around the entire university you say? Maybe he should take Father Jenkins job and not Debbie's. Fifteen years ago, UCF WAS a commuter campus. The football team has done a lot to promote the UCF brand with the Fiesta Bowl last year and the success of Blake Bortles. This season UCF had the most student unfriendly football schedule imaginable because of TV. It was great for promoting the school and the football program. Five games on Thursday or Friday and one in Ireland.

Interesting it comes from a profile that now is listed as gone when I check in. Todd's always been nice to me. If I've got a complaint, it's that it takes him several days to answer emails or phone calls...then again, you can fill in your favorite D-1 coach's name right there and it's still valid! Do you often take a hammer to kill ants? No--I have no idea what it's like to coach with a 4-5 person staff, a dedicated secretary, or specialized academics services personnel. I actually thought I was posting on the TMQ website. My bad. But I should take it you're feeling guilty for not returning calls or emails, huh?

TCU is going all in with their volleyball program. Meaning they are going after a big big name? TCU's best years came when Linda Hampton was an assistant.

Should have said he was a big part in raising the awareness, certainly not the lone reason. Thanks for catching me.

Yep, and I am pretty sure that she would have the baby by the time she got there. It's also why you hire really good assistants. If we want to keep women in coaching we have to accept that those are some of the challenges that women coaches and administrations will have to face, understand them, and move on. I don't think men have to worry about a school not hiring them because their wife is about to have a baby. I understand it is a "concern", but it is only one of allowed to be. If she is the best candidate then hire her and the baby.

Add the UALR coach to the list of names people throw out for every big job now. One good tournament name get people talking. Well, at least on volleytalk.

vbnerd, Thanks for saying what I was afraid of posting. Boo. Best person is the best person. Having a baby is part of life. If we want quality coaches we need to support and understand all that life brings.

If we want quality coaches we need to support and understand all that life brings. I'll say it. Lizzy left Her job to be a head coach so she could go have a baby. It's easier to delegate recruiting to assistants then it is to go out recruiting yourself. I don't blame her but if I were an AD I want my head coach out there making the calls. Her fallout will be her own doing.
