Tall, but looks like a project right now for a sophomore. I'm a bit surprised at this move (assuming it's a scholarship offer). UW needs a legit middle in 2021 and 2022. They could be projecting her as a middle. Niece was a project.

Washington’s heir apparent setting recruit, Molly Wilson, is switching up clubs this season and will be thrown in the national spotlight playing with future Husky Madi Endsley on the loaded Coast 18’s.
Not sure who all is going early this club season but Coast is figuring to be the top contender for the 18 open along with probably Top Select.

So is UW going to be top ten again next year?
Bajema is a huge loss, but Drechsel (next year's goto gal and a future AA), Hoffman, Powell (also an AA next year), Crenshaw and Sanders all return. And with Endsley's big arm coming in and Houghton and Grote having a year of maturation will the dawgs repeat as elite 8s? It will be interesting to watch the transfer portal. Are there any slots available for a libero? For myself, as is, I don't see the dawgs being final 4 caliber next year but you never know.

McPherson, Bajema, Niece, Onosko -- their best attacker, two best backrow specialists, and best defensive middle. Tough loss, but it happens to every college team. I just hope that fans next year show more understanding for whoever plays libero than they did when McPherson was a freshman.

"All I want for Christmas is a big, red, india-rubber ball" (and a couple L/DSs who can pass dimes).

McPherson is definitely a libero who's play the team could put a highlight film together with. Maybe they could use it as a recruiting tool.

In the name of boredom, I'm curious to know how this class is stacking up to 2018s class. It sounds like, correct me if I'm wrong, Bays and Wilmes could be elite and top 25 recruits. I'm not sure where Wilson and Bush are trending. Is Bush a sleeper? I believe 2018s class was #5.
2021: Lauren Bays L/DS 5'8" Molly Wilson S 5'11" Audra Wilmes OH 6'1" Emoni Bush OH 6'3" (MB maybe)

I don't feel like Santa was very kind to Washington this year. If Prepvolleyball ratings are any indication we will be lucky to be a top ten team in a few years. According to prep we have Wilmes in the top 50 and Bays in the other 65 category.
Throw in the fact that the states top players the last two years have gone to Minnesota and Baylor, I think things are not boding well for the dawgs.
Cook did a hell of a job with low rated recruits (Mcpherson, Niece and Bajema) in the past, lets hope he can pull another rabbit out of his hat.

Wilmes had a nice showing in the final day of the Music City Qualifier (her team grabbed a bid).

I think looking at the in state recruits recently isn't very fair. The region has been light on elite level talent 2018 - 2022. Washington also scored a high prospect MB for 2019 (Summers), Sure Rubright went to Minnesota, but given the scholarship composition, so what? For Washington in particular, there is a particular 2022 recruit that I think we are still in the running for that would make me very happy and there are some 2023 local prospects that could add some promising depth to the team.
