i think both Nebraska and Texas both have '1' have a scholarship remaining. I think texas is in need of a setter with both being injured. Wonder if she has to sit a year? lol. The most important trait in her next school is to be close to family and friends. Both Nebraska and Texas fulfill this desire. Another criterion is the school's success at developing players to go professional after college. There were recent tweets from Ebony (2 months ago, maybe) stating that you can take a girl out of Texas, but you can't take the Texas out of the girl. And, other tweets about how much she loves the state of Texas, and how much she misses her brother, etc. Not a guarantee of any sort that she will play college vball in Texas, though.

Texas is in desperate need of a setter. Bringing in Ebony would ensure she wouldn't have anybody to set her the ball. if they do run the 5-1 with the little setter, they're in trouble down the stretch in the NCAA. The team is in need of a setter, they already have quite the cast of OH. Grabbing Ebony would just be greed over the team needs. However, anything is fair game, they might find a WALK-ON setter like Nebraska did. Texas lost two senior All-American pin hitters, including an amazing RS blocker in Khat Bell.

why did she choose not to go to texas in the first place? Not sure; seemed like she committed to USC very early. I do know that early on (two years ahead of signing day), Texas was only projected to have one scholarship available for the class of 2013; it went to Chloe Collins very early. As the roster numbers changed, a 'ship freed up, and then Chiaka Ogbogu decommitted from Cal and committed to Texas the summer prior to her senior season.

Just because a back-up setter would be nice, it doesn't mean that Texas would turn down the opportunity to get Ebony. Actually, there's not really a team in the nation that wouldn't benefit from having her in their gym.

Setter 5-7 Cypress, Texas / Cypress Woods yea, maybe the OH depth is slim, but SETTER is slimmer. They'd be crazy not to find a setter with their injury dilemma now. Collins running the show in a 5-1 would scare me.

yea but what is Texas in 2015 with one setter on the roster (who is currently injured as well) who is 5'7 running a 5-1? If they grab Ebony, they will need a walk-on setter 4 sure.

Why are you all clogging up the D1 transfer announcement thread with dreams of unicorns, rainbows, and speculation?

I noticed on the front page all the players that have left WVA. I know the coach left for TCU and Sunahara took over, but to lose the starting OH Anderson, RS Attea, Libero, and Setter from last year is a big blow for Sunahara. They were making strides to climb up the latter in the Big XII over the last two years.
Anyone know of transfers to WVU, or how they plan to replenish the roster?

I know you're joking, but if Carlini were to leave Wisconsin, it's to go play in Europe and start making over $100,000.00 per year. However, she's having a blast and lots of success at Wisconsin, so I don't see her leaving.

However, she's having a blast and lots of success at Wisconsin, so I don't see her leaving. Actually, there's been talk of Carlini transferring this upcoming winter, taking classes at new, planned institution, but focusing on the national team and Brazil 2016 while she's sitting the 2016-2017 season (since she 100% won't get an immediate release). I'm sorry I had to. WISCONSIN IS CARLINI'S AND CARLINI IS WISCONSIN'S.
