Recently, I've been missing Hedder. For what reason...I do not know. But there are certain key features of this charming little "smurf"-woman in particular. Her whole presence on the court was so amazing, and she sounds like a super-cool person to hang out with... Where is she? Anybody see her around Honolulu? Hedder, I miss you!!! Hedder, come back!!! I hope I get to see her one day again...

Considering that she was helping out with the team this year, it's too bad she wasn't at the banquet (at least I didn't see her there).

That's all right. I love 'em all, too -- Lily, Hedder, Kim, Lauren, Nohea, Ashley, Melissa, Kanoe, Katy, Raeceen, Cayley, Karin, Melody, Susie, Kari, Alicia, Juliana, Maja, Teisa (just not enough to ask them to marry me. ) They weren't "the best" team this year, but it's pretty safe to say that they had the biggest following and the most adulation.

I agree. UH's fans would go into battle for those gurlies!
Well...not battle, but...

Did Hedder have any aspirations to play pro? I'm sure she could be a successful libero at the next level or possibly a beach career?

What I love about college sports is that an athlete's shelf life is at most 4 years. In with the new, out with the old. It's always fresh. I remember getting tired of watchig Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for 20+ years just like I'm getting tired of watching Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, Karl Malone, and Shaquille O'Neal.
I'm sure Hedder is a great gal but I don't miss her. Never knew the girl.

That's one of the things that I dislike most about the college game. I only wish we could watch players for longer. While there are fresh faces there are only select players that come around who are phenomenal. You aren't going to see a fresh Kim Willoughby or Logan Tom year in and year out. Hedder was a spectacular defender, and rarely do you come across someone who is not only a great defender but does it in a spectacular fashion.

Nah. As much as I admired the play of Kim Willoughby and Lily Kahumoku, I was more excited to watch Alicia Arnott and Kanoe Kamana'o play prior to this season, just as I'm now curious about Keefe, Thomas, and Hittle.
Your 4 years are up! Time to go!

Absolutely Spectacular. Balls to the floor! well that term doesn't really apply to Hedder but she let it all hang out. Hawai'i was really lucky in 2001 and 2002 with two exceptional liberos.
