This is the first match of the Purdue tournament. Kentucky won the first 30 - 26. ETSU jumped out 7 - 3 in game two with some nice blocks, but Kentucky ran off 7 straight and now lead 14 - 9.

Kentucky wins game 2 30 - 21
I like the ref here. She is actually calling ball handling pretty tight. Good for her.

My battery is going fast, but Kentucky leads game 3 19 - 17. Kentucky will probably win this, playing methodically and doing what they need to do. ETSU has a few problems passing, and UK takes advantage nicely. They have a couple of dcent hitters that ETSU haven't been able to handle very well. The match tomorrow vs Purdue should be decent.

Hey, I think this may be Pablo reporting. My cousin had a Pablo as a professor at Purdue. Are you that Pablo?

Hey, I think this may be Pablo reporting. My cousin had a Pablo as a professor at Purdue. Are you that Pablo? Um, if your cousin actually knew their professor as "Pablo" then it probably weren't me. Tis an alias, of course. And if they had Professor Buchwald, it weren't me either. OTOH, I am wearing my Pablo softball shirt tonight. When Shondell saw me, he laughed because he knew who I was. For IB, if I tell you that the chick that sung the national anthem before the Purdue match botched the words, does that answer your question? I found some power outside in the prrgame activity, so I can do a little more reporting. Starting for Purdue: Dargin Cappa McConoha Wischmeier Dildine Mastedria Poe - L New thread

Boy did I call this one. I wasn't able to attend, but it sounds like it was a heck of an exciting match, with Kentucky winning in 5. It was a "sold out" IAF, but that is because students got in free.

Wow, I'm surprised Kentucky beat Purdue. Good win for them and the SEC.

Big10 has lost quite a few of these mid-range matches lately--after having nary an "upset" for 2 weeks.
Michigan loses to W MI then beats Tennessee. MSU loses to Notre Dame and South Carolina. Purdue to Kentucky and Wake Forest. I don't count Tennessee against them. Indiana has lost some borderline matches.
How good is Wake Forest, btw? Only losses are to Tennessee and Louisville, and they beat South Carolina and Purdue.

Shondell's story is that Purdue watched Wake against Tennessee and they were terrible, so everyone took them a little lightly (coaches included, he admits). OTOH, Mick Haley told me that he thinks Wake has some potential, with a pair of kids from Texas. I'm starting to get the impression that South Carolina is back up again this year, and is a team that can win some matches. Wake over SC is a good win for them.

I listened to the webcast on Friday night - may be the same resource as the agent, and the coach did say Wake did not play well against Tennessee the night before, but put on a show the rest of the tournament. He thinks Wake can finish in the top 3 of the ACC.
