Gators win 3-0(36-34, 30-20, 30-14).
Well, the Gators finally got that game 1 loss out of their system. After dropping game 1 in their last 4 matches, they eeked this one out, but it wasn't easy. Gators were leading the entire game and were up 28-24, before they let Clemson tie things up at 28(1st tie since 0-0). Clemson had 1 game point, but Florida wiped that out with a Sherri Williams kill. Passing was a little better in game 1, but not great. Moscovic set most of the game and really deserved much better numbers, as the Gators hitters made some really bad unforced errors. Clemson had like 6 digs in game 1, but their blocking kept them in it.
McGinnis started and played all of game 2, the Gators played much better. The offense started to click and the Gators finally got their blocking on track as well. Passing was on, serving was better, this was the best game they've played in a long time. They hit .417 to .167 for Clemson.
Game 3, McGinnis started and played most of game 3 and the Gators really played much better when she was in, esp. defensively. Clemson had nothing going offensively and the Gators ran off the final 7 points of the match on Angie's serve. Killingsworth played a great match, 7 kills on 11 attempts, she and Angie seem to have great chemistry. Angie was connecting with Marcie and Jane as well, they tallied 13 and 21 kills respectively, with Marcie hitting .333 and Jane .385. Angie did struggle a little getting the middles involved(Moscovic did a better job here), but Sherri and Michelle ended up with 11 and 6 kills(hitting .286 and .400)
Overall, UF hit .333 to .088 for Clemson, outkilled them 60-34, outblocked them 7-6, outdug them 43-30. I think the coaches are really trying to go with 1 setter and sadly, it appears that Moscovic will be the odd woman out. Killingsworth played so well tonight, much better than Douglas and I think as she gets more match time, she'll take over the starting spot on the right side.
