Ethridge is a walk-on as well. How lucky is nebraksa to get Albrecht as a walk on. That girl would start as an OH at a lot of schools, and nebraska basically gets her for free. Wasn't she a prep volleyball in the 60's too. Annika was the #65 recruit. Her parents both went to Nebraska.

what I predict:
Hunter/A. Rolfzen K. Rolfzen/Foecke Hall/Haggerty Wong-Orantes
what I want to see:
Hunter/Foecke K. Rolfzen/A. Rolfzen Hall/Haggerty Wong-Orantes
-Hopefully Haggerty will benefit from Hunter's setting. She hasn't been the same since her freshman year, so I'd put her on a short leash along with Keil. -I think Amber is more comfortable hitting from the left, so I prefer her there. She would also be a nice block for the opposing RS and slide attacks. -I like Foecke RS because I think she could be our most terminal pin hitter. -Fien subbing for Kadie or Amber when needed. -Maddie Haggerty sub left. (will she be a redshirt freshman next season?)

Watching her hit 2-balls from the middle, compared to her cross shots on the right, she seems more confident hitting cross from the left. I don't know what the stats say, but from my observation, she seems more efficient from the left.

Anybody think Maloney will push JWO for Lib. or is she prima DS for the next two years? Unless an absolute stud of a libero comes in, JWO will be starting until she graduates

I believe Ostrander, Albrecht, Smith and Reeves would all be walk-ons. I also recall that one of other players (Townsend?) is on a full-ride academic scholarship. That takes the group of potential scholarship players down to 14, with the remainder of the probable solution coming from the Libero/DS situation mentioned by plm is his post. I could be wrong, but thought that ostrander came on as a walk on and then later put on scholarship and that townsend is a walk on.

I believe it would difficult to unseat JWO, but as in any other position if a BETTER PLAYER shows up , am sure Cook would replace her. Having said that, I do believe that she will continue to improve and possibly follow the path of Banwerth. GBR

I know that Annika is a walk on. I think Wong-Orantes and Maloney are the only scholarship passers for the 2015 season. Annika should definitely have a scholarship, she's a stud.

My best guess.
Setter - Hunter Libero - Justine OH - Kadie OK - Amber OPP - Foecke MB - Hall / Haggerty MB - Keil
I think MB will depend on their connection with Hunter.

Ostrander definitely came as a walk-on & I really doubt that she is on scholarship considering who already are on scholarship. Ostrander I think would have to show that she is much better than the other players at the same position first before getting a scholarship.

It seems the composition of the 2015 lineup is largely dependent on the answers to the following two questions:
1. What are the odds of Foecke coming in and being in the starting lineup right away? (If she's not ready, you plug Hunter in at setter and probably go with the rest of the returning starters from the end of the 2014 season.)
2. If Foecke starts immediately, what position does she play? (She could conceivably play any of the front row positions, which would result in another returning starter moving to a different position or a reserve role.)
It's going to be an interesting off-season!

If that's the case, she may not start, but imo, she's ready and could make such a huge impact on this team
