It seems a little hypocritical for Poole to be critical of transfers since he has benefitted greatly from them in recent years.

Molly. Best all-around skill set and best work ethic in the weight room. IMO by a large margin. Watched her match in the State Finals as a freshmen and it was pretty clear even then she was the best of the trio. On a side note; Went to the Presidents' Day Tournament in Omaha today. Wanted to see Fitzmorris and Foecke play in person. Both outstanding, but if it were an either/or scenario, I would pick Foecke in a heartbeat. Toward that end, while there are some on here who have claimed Fitzmorris to be 100% decided on Stanford, that is simply not the case at this point. I have heard for quite some time Fitzmorris will wait to hear from Stanford before making a decision. She may not choose Stanford but I heard for a long time Nebraska is not one of her top choices. I don't know where people are hearing Nebraska is a school she is considering.

Props to Sheldon for doing a great job with that piece. It really is a big loss for LSU, especially since the team was centered around her. It's still disappointing, given that 38/38 transfers from the power conferences were released. It was interesting to read that a First-Team AA hasn't transferred since 1990.

OWH > LJS for volleyball in a heartbeat. Much better investigative journalism happening in Omaha.

I support a consistent, uniform transfer rule, preferably one that allows any athlete to transfer at least once with no penalty. However, this article is somewhat superficial and one-sided at best, and self-serving at worst. If there are no legitimate reasons to deter transfers, why do the major revenue sports disallow unrestricted transfers? The article doesn't explore those reasons at all, except to mention the sports that don't allow unrestricted transfers and to cite Haley's fear of lawsuits (which is the weakest argument of all).

Superficial and one-sided? Yes, but the article was not research-based. The title is "After trading colors, NU's Holman waiting to make impact". It's purpose is to get Husker fans looking forward to seeing Holman play. The target audience is a relatively small population, and not nearly the scale of an Op-Ed piece in the Washington Post. Compared to some other Husker Volleyball related articles I've read, this was a tour de force.

How many scholarships does NEB have available for 2017?
I got wind Bri Orr might be wearing Red. That would be a STUNNER. WOW!

I don't think there is any limits on academic scholarships. Dorothy will correct me if I am wrong.

I would expect her family to tell a random stranger she is considering all schools. Based on my source, there are at least four teams above Nebraska on her list. We are in agreement Fitzmorris has not made a decision or, at least, has not made a public announcement about it. Dorothy probably knows if Cook is still recruiting her or has given up.

As much as Fitzmorris’ presence would be a welcome at Nebraska, I think we’re set at MBs in the near future: 2016: Briana & Lauren 2017: Briana & Lauren - Chesney will likely redshirt 2018: Lauren & Chesney 2019: Lauren & Chesney 2020: Chesney & … 2021: Chesney & …

Brie is definitely the type of player I’d love to see Nebraska land in 2017! Athletic and driven, she possesses leadership skills and a high VB IQ. If she picked Nebraska, we would have 4 setters on the roster in 2017, which will be Kelly Hunter’s senior season. I could see Brie redshirting and battling it out with Hunter Atherton for the starting setter position in 2018.

At this point, Nebraska seems set on MB and L/DS in the years to come. I'd like to see Cook bring in a couple top OH recruits to complement Molly Haggerty and Foecke, because I’m not sure if Olivia, Annika, Maddie and Alex are at the almighty ranks of Briana, Kadie, Mikaela, Lauren, or Chesney. I heard that Tianni has incredible potential to do great things, so I’m excited to see how she performs at the next level in college. However, after hearing that Molly Haggerty is injured, it may be best to get some other solid options on the pins like USC or PSU. (Nothing that a big-time transfer or two couldn't fix!)

OH should be Nebraska's top recruiting priority right now.
