Could we see a 6-2? It would be a CRAZY offensive lineup: OH: Frantti, Lee MH: Whitney, Washington OPP: Courtney, Reed S: Rivera, Weiskircher L: Pierce (?) Seems like Reed and Whitney could be interchangeable in this lineup. If they were to play a 6-2 why not just play Whitney on the RS? And thelen in the middle? And hasn't Lee played RS before? Yeah it seems like PSU can shuffle around a lot of their hitters and still be extremely dangerous!

my guess (from an outsiders POV):
OH: Frantti, Courntey MB: Washington, Thelen OPP: Whitney S: Weiskircher L: K. Pierce
Frantti is a natural OH. As for Courtney, she didn't pan out at OPP last season, and switched to OH and shined... OH is locked up, IMO. I'm guessing the 2nd MB is Thelen, mostly just because the only other MB on the roster (other than Washington and Whitney) is Gorrell. Whitney at OPP. Weiskircher?, picked her just because she's already spent a year with the team. Rivera looks good too though. Lee is the first sub in for a struggling Courtney/Frantti.
just the way I'm seeing things right now.

I guess she might have to wait another season and then she will most likely get a starting role

Not one mentioned of the setting in Rose's interview. I don't like that.

That's why I said hasn't Lee played on the RS, implying that if they would run a 6-2 (which I don't even think they will) then Lee would be better suited on the right for the very reason you mentioned and also Courtney didn't seem as good on the right

Well, we have determined Reed is not going to the middle and I don't believe she is going to RS, so she may be groomed for the LS. Novakovic is heir apparent on the RS and Courtney is in her last season. I see RR as cautiously optimistic which translates to another strong team once the new players are melded into the starting lineup. We will have some answers in 8 more days.

Makes sense. So Courtney and Frantti on the left, Whitney on the right, and Washington and Reed in the middle? That's what I would think unless any of the other middles prove to be good/if Lee proves to be better than Frantti. Why do people think that Reed has been training in the middle? Are people just guessing?

As for Courtney, she didn't pan out at OPP last season. Courtney was excellent on the right last season. Not sure which matches you were watching. The lineup didn't change because "she didn't pan out."

The lineup didn't change because "she didn't pan out." My perception was based on her performances against Wisconsin & Nebraska, both of which she hit under .200. Just looked up her stats for the other games and didn't realize how well she actually did on the right... Thanks for the correction.
