Did anyone else get this emailed to them? It's a survey about the 1st annual sand championship. www.prsurvey.com/svbIt's mostly questions about what you would like to see in the event. I thought the question about sites was illuminating, where it asked to pick 3 locations from the following: St. Petersburg, Florida Austin, Texas Huntington Beach, California Salt Lake City, Utah Gulf Shores, Alabama Cincinnati, Ohio Milwaukee, Wisconsin Honolulu, Hawaii Chicago, Illinois New Orleans, Louisiana Tampa, Florida San Diego, California Atlantic City, New Jersey

I got the email but haven't done the survey yet. Milwaukee? Chicago? I guess it would be warm enough in May, and Lake Michigan does have some nice sand. Not exactly a convenient location for any of the current schools in contention. Unless that's the idea: no home court advantage (inconvenient for all).

HB or SD and bring back the individual championship(s).
Come on NCAA do you really want us to believe you cannot afford another day to crown a pairs title?
Really lame move by the NCAA.

I took it. Interesting.
I would urge anyone who takes the survey to mention in the "is there anything else you'd like to mention" (or something close to that) box that having a pairs championship along with a team championship would make the event more appealing to you.
And for the love of God, not Atlantic City.

A couple more comments on the survey: (1) Proofreading fail: on the page which asks how influential certain items would be, the range is from "Not at influential" to "Very influential". Probably supposed to be "Not at all influential". (2) Fail 2: "Gabrielle Reese" (that's a pretty common misspelling) (3) Disappointed that Volleytalk was not listed as one of the websites for volleyball information.
BTW, if you delete the cookie for decipherinc.com, you can take the survey again.

I'd like them to keep it in Gulf Shores, definitely keep the pairs championships and a QOB at the beginning of the year would be nice, Each school sends who they think is their best player.

Anyway, pupps
I very much like Austin in more of a grassroots vs. full-blown, expensive, gaudy AVP--“the way of”. Keeping it on the down-low initially seems more appropriate than a in-your-face NCAA hysteria type …for they’re all beginners (in this very newest of new collegiate sports).
Word will spread.
I further like UTA being the sort of unofficial hosts of 2016 in that they do have a singular sand court on campus. Stimulate Longhorns’ interest by utilizing it for a mythical Div.II championships of sorts. Two mere Div.II teams would actually suffice. When the teams' competition(s) would be nearly over, play Flights of #1s from the two teams in the title’s matchup--if you’d care--on that same on-campus court. Hypotheticals (again) for “pairs champs”.
There are two city recreational parks equidistant from UT Tower (both I think 15 minutes away only). The one park is more conducive to festivals and crowd hoopla, yet the other is more than sufficient with pristine sand, also on the Colorado. That’s a total of 8 ‘free’ courts; nine if you include the one on campus.
The marina where the AVP has been would to me be austintatious and is passé. Reminiscent?? --- Stanford, Hawaii; Hawaii, Stanford; Stanford, hmm.
Dad needs to work Maglio out this spring. She's already in the sandbox and come mid-March with Texas she's got to be tried/travailed at MB. In years past pops has utilized only one mb for usage in a spring match..a good idea. Emily should be front row, at every and all rotations in that match.
Oh, don't lead ojichan by convolution, either; do it for the Home-team, eh?

it goes w/o saying, then, that 1) the UT would doll up their BBQ pit for that one sand court's competition and 2) the two official division II teams thus far in contention are Carson-Newman & Eckerd.

Gulf Shores has set the bar extremely high for every aspect of the event. Will be hard pressed to achieve that level with the minimal amount of money that it takes to put it on in the Gulf. I believe the permit cost was $100......as long as it is a natural setting I'm game.
