The 2015 Volley America Grand Prix which will award $40,000 cash prizes gets started in Florida at EEVBs Florida tournaments including events at Singer Island, Ocala and Clearwater Beach. The Grand Prix should be the first reason on why players choose to play in any tournament in Florida and the US. All of the Volley America member organizations are working together to give players the best program available and a big part of that is the Grand Prix program. The $40,000 cash plus additional merchandise prizes from sponsors Spalding, Rider Sandals, Reflekt Sunglasses and Sprout Watches are funded by the membership and entry fees that players pay to Volley America tournament directors. Volley America gives back all of the membership fees through the Grand Prix program and prizes given away by Volley America member organizations. These programs are coordinated throughthe Volley America web site/database system that lets players track their results and standings in the VA National Ranking system and VA Grand Prix.
The seeding points are used to seed players when they travel outside their region to earn points at any Volley America sanctioned event across the US. There are also double point events for larger tournaments. Each group will run 1 double point event which will be noted on the Volley America web site schedule page. Players can also earn double points at the Florida Regional Championships run in July (juniors) and October (adults) by Sandbox Volleyball at International Palms Resort in Cocoa Beach and at the Volley America Nationals Oct. 24-25 in Clearwater Beach.
