lmfao all this over an autograph and some advice. oohh let me write a letter and get some advice and maybe i will be drinking the kool aid too. haha This is just a sad post. How old are you? What does the poster's age have anything to do with his or her comment? If you're opposed to the race and gender cards, you can't pull the age one.

Destinee? What I have seen is a big ego and poor sportsmanship on numerous occasions both in college and on the national team. College? Sure. National and professional teams? Hardly. Show me any post-college match in which Destinee displayed poor sportsmanship or self-aggrandizement that was worthy of your criticism, because she is actually one of the humbler opposite hitters on the court in women's professional volleyball. Katya and Nataliya scream the loudest in their opponents' faces. Pavan gives the best stare of death when she's not looking too jaded. The Brazilians break out into song and dance or run the perimeter of the court after a point... Even if I believed Destinee was cocky (which I don't), why is that such a bad thing in the first place, especially when athletes like Bryant and Messi are celebrated for their triumphant attitudes on the court and field? Not only do I think your observations about her are wrong, but I think the standards by which you are judging her are unfair. I don't care if you think my observations are wrong or not honestly. How many times do I have to say this. Karch and Destinee know what happened. To be prepared to lose a talent like Hooker, Karch had to feel strongly about the rule and its importance. I trust him to make that judgement. She can either agree or not play. The Destinee fan club can cry about it till the cows come home but its done. Get over it.

Not surprising. He had zero experience managing a program of professional world-class female athletes, yet that was the job he was hired to do.

I wasn't kidding............ that was one of the main reasons. GOOGLE there public display of inappropriateness. I know she was talked to about it in terms of the image it was presenting.... and she decided not to change it. Thought everyone knew about that? TMZ even blasted her as the Pornolleyball Star. I don't know what she was thinking, but that was some of her 'attitude' that she didn't think needed to be changed.
It was a big deal a few years ago.
you can easily see the images she was releasing by doing a simple google search. i wasn't trying to joke, i was being serious.

I don't think you fully understand the situation. Karch didn't set out to exclude Destinee from the team, he was trying to exclude what he determined was a distraction for the team. The rule essentially back-fired because it forced a choice and response that he didn't intend. The issue as I see it is that a little more experience and finesse would have allowed him to achieve his objective without the unintended consequences. I'm not surprised at your attitude of "My way or the highway," but I am surprised at your contention that Karch sending you a letter has anything to do with his judgement or actions as a coach. It's a very weak correlation.

It's a very weak correlation. Oh Gees...you people amaze me. Perhaps you should picket the games and cry out for justice in this horribly unfair situation for poor Destinee and the big ,bad , mean coach that ruined her career. Karch has been around the game a very long time. With the exception of Logan and Destinee , no other players seem to have an issue with him? Why is that genius's? Could it be that they were very difficult and wanted it their own way? But you guys are absolutely right. Since they are so talented , its his fault that he couldn't manage their somewhat difficult personalities. He should have tried harder and compromised his rules and standards to have them on the team. I apologies for thinking so foolishly. SAVE DESTINEE!!!
