Another loss for Mick! EDIT: At a certain poster's request [ahem!], I have added a meaningless poll that will offer no deep insight into the final outcome of Ebony's decision. This poll is likely going to confirm nothing concrete except for the fact that 100 percent of the people who clicked on the headline linking to the poll’s results will never get back the two minutes of their lives they spent reading about nothing.

Some kind of source please? Not the person's name but it least some general description. i.e., heard it from the coaching staff? heard it from a relative of the player? heard it from a stranger in a bar?

Coaches, players and family. This had been in the works for a couple months now, but there were some "obstacles" that she was forced to overcome before the news could be officially released, especially on this website.

Yesterday she tweeted "Can I just live in Iowa already?"
But its just a tweet... I didn't take that as an announcement that she was transferring. Last week she posted that she wanted to go back to Disneyland - I didn't take that as a sign she was quitting volleyball to become a Disney Princess.
Curious to know what this is based on.

While people are stalking her Twitter page, it should also be noted that she tweeted, "You can always find some peace and happiness on the farm" four days ago with an adorable pic of her hand-feeding some horses. No worries, though, I didn't infer from the picture that she was leaving sports altogether to be a rancher.

After the mental/emotional struggles she experienced on top of the physical ones, which she documented on her blog, as well as her less-than-stellar sophomore season, I'm not surprised Ebony is looking for a fresh start. I hope she gets a release.

Actually, does anyone know the Farm's etymology? I always wondered how that became associated with a sports venue at Stanford.
