They used to. This year is a bit tricky, however, as World Cup is REALLY early this year (end of August). In 2011, for example, it was played the last week of October/first week of November; hence why China didn't send their starters, Serbia did everything they could not to qualify (that one is a head-scratcher because they aren't that good despite talent and could probably have used the practice), and Brazil divided their squad due to the Pan Am Games being played concurrently with the WGP Finals. Thanks. And the World Cup 2 teams get a bid for the Olympics? Correct. And for that reason, I think World Cup is #2. I'd say... 1) Olympics 2) World Cup 3) All Other Olympic Qualifiers 4) World Championship 5) World Grand Prix 6) World Grand Champions Cup

Universal Sports is apparently requiring you to log-in via your cable provider hmm.. the login overlay is there but there is no countdown of 1:30 cutting off vid, so fullscreen (which i have on 2nd monitor) has no overlay - woohoo

Interesting that Larson isn't starting... Not surprising. They're not gonna start someone 5 days straight, and Japan is probably the least dangerous opponent here.

This whole host team is the #1 seed crap is complete @$$%*!*.
