Is it just me, or is Russia passing much better this year than they were last year? I realize not everyone is playing their best players, so that may have something do with it, but it seems like they're making some progress.

There do seem to be more ball control players in this lineup. |

They're using their middles more I noticed, and it just doesn't look like the shank-fest they were at the World Championships. |

Russia just stacked Gonch in the gap over the middle. Haven't seen them run anything combo with her before.

Despite the setting but them Russian babes are holding up. In a sense of not giving up. Good volley from them thus far.

Gonch has 14 kills and 7 blocks in the first two sets. After 27 kills in 3 sets yesterday. Can she keep this up for 5 days?

I wonder if people are amazed of number 8 Gonch from Russia and her footwork. Something they're not use to seeing.

Well... At least people of Nebraska have the pleasure to witness good live volleyball. Ha That was a great rally with powerful swings. Both liberos are playing excellent defense.
