I feel like this has been answered too many times before, but I just want one more clarification. Top two from Grand Prix get a bid to the Olympics? Then top three at the World Cup get a bid to the Olympics? If Brazil gets first or second at Grand Prix, does the third place get their bid (since theirs is automatic)? If the US finishes first or second here and then top three at World Cup does the fourth place at World Cup get a bid? WGP = NO BIDS; World Cup = top 2 bids.

So is the WGP only important for ranking purposes?

Karsta Lowe is amazing to watch. It bodes well for the team when your world championship team top scorer is losing her starting position to a newbie. The amazing thing is it took less than a year for this to happen. USA is just loaded right now

Just watching the replay now...I know that karch started letting Larson and Robinson play middle back a few matches ago, but now i noticed he's letting Hill play middle back too.
I lied...look like only the first serve of the first set

Who was the youngest to play in the Olympics for team USA? Was it Tom? Yep, it was Logan Tom at age 19. Keba Phibbs was like 16 or 17 when she playied for USA I've been corrected she was going on 19 as well. tks

This might be premature, but after watching Pan Am and Grand Prix matches, it's my opinion that Rachel Adams is indeed the 5th middle behind the obvious starters and Dixon/Gibby. If I had to choose today between Dixon and Gibby, I'd prolly choose Dixon. There might still be time for more movement in the depth chart, but despite Rachel's physical superiority, I just don't see as much polish and efficiency/accuracy in her game. Still very young with a bright Vball career, however. Looking forward to seeing how Team USA shakes out, and I have no doubt they're all 'bought in' to Karch's team first and self-engagement philosophies. All of them will contribute to the team's success, whatever their role may be.

Does anyone have the tiebreak scenarios for the USA if they drop one of these final 2 matches? Also, is head to head a part of the equation if tied in points and match %?

As I recall looking through the stats of the Italian woman's league this past season, Adams had the best stats (or maybe she was best scorer) of all the middles in the league.

Adams might be the best blocking mid the USA has. But her effectiveness on the attack is behind the others.

No, head-to-head is not part of it. Also, I think the points are cumulative from the previous weekends, so currently Brazil and USA have 33 points and China has 30. Because the points for a 3-2 match are different from 3-0 or 3-1, there are many possibilities in the remaining matches. worldgrandprix.2015.fivb.com/en/competition/poolrankingcriteria
