Russia should've left in Ilchenko for the 4th set. Their lefts need to be more terminal to take pressure off Goncharova. Will be remedied some when Kosheleva returns at least. Russia will be fighting hard for a spot at the World Cup and with Gonch's current form the US and China better watch out.

Russia will be fighting hard for a spot at the World Cup and with Gonch's current form the US and China better watch out. They need to figure out how to have more sets to their middles. Even though they just bang high pin sets they need variety. It would make them more of a nightmare. And better serving agree with commentators there.

Was Tori a middle going into college or did she play some OH. I know she served in college, so thats where she gets some of her defensive skills from, but she plays like she's played OH before

Without a doubt, Kreklow's the best Minnesota player that Mike Hebert didn't reel in.

Who was the youngest to play in the Olympics for team USA? Was it Tom? Yep, it was Logan Tom at age 19. Might have been Keba Phipps by a month. Born in June '69 played in 88. So she was 19 also.

They hid her in serve receive, but she was a terminal back row attacker, so they left her in. She always wanted to play international ball, and middles gotta serve and pass in international ball, so girl put her head down and got it done.

Really interesting how the dynamic shifted after that second set. We really started to soft block Gonch and they couldn't contain Karsta. Reversal of the first set where I think Karsta might have hit negative and Gonch was just pummeling the ball.
I was going to say that Tori was really struggling with her block tonight, but she came up huge at the end there.

A lot of people thought she'd be an opposite at the next level.
