Not sure if I heard correctly, but I think I heard Karch tell all the girls after the win that Brazil is missing a lot of their key players.

The commentators really like Kim Hill. They said multiple times through out the match that Kim Hill is the only really terminal OH on this team. How she's different etc.

So, does Easy get the start tomorrow since we already have it clinched? I think Larson will play for the Omaha Sunday crowd unless she's physically not up to it. Dixon/Gibbemeyer and maybe Thompson? Nice luxury to go into the last day with nothing at stake, though China's still fighting to make the podium.

I'm sure this has been covered, but I can't find it. Kreklow signed an overseas gig somewhere, right?

Has hodge played at all in the finals? Nope. All others have. I could see her in with the title clinched.

Brazil was a mess! They simply couldn't put the ball down in conter attacks and had so many missed serves.
Since it's the first time I've watched USA play this year, I was expecting more from the Americans, even though they played really well. I loved when Lowe hit in the middle, really great play.
Congrats on the win! =)

Goncharova has to get the MVP. I know they're gonna wanna give it to an American, but.... Most definitely the best attacker in the Finals round ...

Who on Brazils team right now, is a starter usually and who is going to the olympics? Gabi, Natalia, and Lins will be in Rio. If Gabi and Natalia are starters, I like USA's chances in Rio.

Dude, I haven't seen a double called on her this entire tournament. What's your deal? Definitely not her first double in the Final rounds. I recall three total since the beginning of the Final rounds. Outside of that, the only other setter I recall being called for a double is Russia's setter. Still for the amount of time Thompson is on the court, she mishandles the ball too much for my liking. I do love her energy though. Another thought as I was watching last night and today in the Arena, Thompson's sets are very low trajectory. I remember Lowe having to twist and turn to hit them when she was double subbing with Thompson early in the finals. Murphy attacks those sets fairly well. I don't see Fawcett hitting those sets at all. Makes me wonder if Lowe is the starter AND Glass returns healthy and in form, the double sub setter and Opp could be a package deal. Thompson and Murphy OR Kreklow and Fawcett. I like Kreklow/Fawcett in that scenario, primarily because I don't want to see Thompson in a 5-1 if Glass re-aggravates her injury.

My question, when Glass comes back is "Do we need to rely as heavily on the double sub?". Glass is a great blocker and Karsta has shown that she can hit out of the back row when needed. Do they leave them in and use the double sub less, more in certain situations?
