Is there a thread for this that I'm missing?
Anyway, I'm following AZ Storm 17's. This team won as 15's, 16's, and are the only undefeated team after pool play. Would be so cool if they ran the table and won this years and as 18's.

Do Lanier and Stivrens (Sp), play for 17s or 18s for storm?

Do Lanier and Stivrens (Sp), play for 17s or 18s for storm? Yeah they play 17's with Katie Oleksak setting (Colorado State) and also Willow Johnson (Oregon). They're the second seed behind TAV's vaunted 17's team however.

Fitzmorris really impressed me. She has a big presence on the court, in terms of serving, hitting, blocking, even in the back row. She surprised me with her passing and is actually quite decent.. There could be a possibility of her at OH she's very versatile. And she was big in clutch time.

Personally, I am amazed at TAV as a club. They won 13 Open, 14 open, 16 Open and their 15s lost only once and that was the eventually champions in 15 Open and finished fifth. TAV 17 is in Gold for 17 Open and it looks like TAV will win their pool for 18 Open. I would say they are the new SPVB, but I don't think that SPVB performed like that at all levels-just dominated 18 open. My daughter says it is because TAV got Ping. I am sure he helped, he is an amazing coach. Anyway, it is kind of like watching a no hitter, I keep checking in on AES to see how the TAV teams are doing.

Why was Oleksak setting Lanier so low the entire match?

Let's not forget that TAV has been a successful club for some time now. Ping grew in a volleyball intensive culture in China, even before he began working with SPr(y). He found similar ground when he worked in Chicago. It is nice to hear that the Dallas culture has responded well to these methodologies as they work better in certain places than others. Really just need to have supportive parents and put in the same time that swimming, gymnastics and other elite sports have done here for years.

Or perhaps they have all star teams from one of the most (if not THE most) talent dense volleyball areas in the nation. As does Sports Performance. Might that have something to do with it? Pretty sure you could take that much talent and apply just about any methodology you wanted and still be pretty doggone good.

Not saying that makes their accomplishments any less impressive. Cause they've had a big year for sure.

Why was Oleksak setting Lanier so low the entire match? Not sure. More importantly, why was she setting Spann (OH2) at all? Lanier on the backrow, MB, OPP were all better options, IMO.

Who is their Opp and Other MB besides stivrens. and are they committed anywhere? And does she have any relation to ASUS span?
