Im hoping someone here can help me out with this problem. I need some help how to determin who advances out of pool play in a tournament in this particular situation.
The format is like this.
There are 4 teams in the pool. Top 2 teams advance to the winners bracket.
This is the situation.
Team Matches Won Matches lost Gms won Gms lost
A III IIIIII B I II III III C I II III IIIII D I II II IIIII
First place is obvious but who is in second place? Team A beats all the teams in 2 games. C def B 11-15, 15-12, 15-9 B def D 15-11, 15-7 D def C 15-13, 4-15, 15-12
whos in 2nd?

SEEDING All seeding will be done according to games win/loss record: there will be no playoff games to determine seeding. Ties will be broken according to the following system: A. Teams tied within the Pool 1. Head to head in games 2. Head to head in points. 3. Points against differential for entire Pool.
Personally I hate to see teams lose out because of points as we all try different things in pool play of HS games. So if only two team advance to playoffs and the teams are tied you may want to consider a a shortened 1 game playoff
