Certainly some teams have done that- and for many years. But with the 15 sub rule you can also sub your setter out when u serve and bring in a blocking sub- designate your liib or a ball control player to set and sub the setter back in to run the sideout situation. You can wait for the 20s and do this several times according to the amount of subs u have left
