I don't think Iowa has the firepower to beat Hawaii. But I do think that American is a dangerous team, and they should be the team everyone should watch out for at this tournament.

I think any team would be excited to come to Hawaii. Cocktails and dreams mixed in with beautiful sunsets by the sea. What more could a team want other than a win over the Wahine.
Go Bows!!

Hawaii's twitter account is rather boring. Just recaps of things we can get elsewhere. You'd think they would use twitter to provide some insights you can't get anywhere else.

Like why did Nikki Taylor feel like she wasn't welcomed with open arms? Maybe she was just experiencing the freshman blues and wasn't able to express her feelings with the coaches. just sayin I bet they're expressing their feelings about how she felt now...oops

Yes, you do have to be 21 to drink alcohol in Hawai'i but there are plenty of non-alcoholic cocktails.

Don't forget that Loxley Keala is on the team so it's a homecoming for her. There's an article in the paper today about how excited they are to be here. I'm sure Cubicle will post it.

So you don't have to be 21 to drink in Hawaii ? It used to be 18 but a lot of the teams that got invited in past years were too hung-over to play the next day and so the Wahine beat them easily. Lol! No, but seriously, they changed the drinking age to 21 way back when. You can still get a lot of yummy cocktails that don't have alcohol in them. Just ask for a virgin.

It is good that Hawaii has its priorities right, having the football game on Thursday so that volleyball has the prime Friday and Saturday night spots.

This is nothing compared to the storms I've witnessed on the mainland.

it was terrible stormy weather for most of the afternoon. then it stopped (it didn't clear, but the rain/storm just stopped) for the warriors season opening football game against colorado last night. a win! the football team 's first time being above .500 under norm chow's watch.
i'm not sure which part was more miraculous ...
