Neither the Russian men or women's team played in last November's World Cup, and this year, the Russian men are not in World League.
The US men are not in World League because, for USAV, it's too expensive.
So I wonder if Russia's volleyball federation is having money problems.

Their women did not qualify for it and did not get a wild-card. That's why they were not there. |

Wow, they were ranked third in the world, too, at the
time.

The Russian women did not qualify for the World Cup? Wow, they were ranked third in the world, too, at the time. yes they were but Top two from the continental tourney went there which was POL and TUR for europe. They gave two wild cards and italy got the one for europe over russia. |
