Sarah Shafiq who originally transferred from Cal (although I don't think she ever played there) to Michigan State is no longer listed on MSU's roster. Not sure of the reason.

Long Beach State Transfers this year. Anyone know what's going on? Sarah Miller Libero Sophomore Long Beach State Zoi Konstantopolou Opposite Sophomore Long Beach State Lauren Palmer Libero *Freshman Long Beach State Sammee Thomas Libero *Freshman Long Beach State Doris Bogoje Middle Blocker *Freshman Long Beach State Tiara Wallace Middle Blocker *Senior Long Beach State Sherridan Atkinson 6'5" *Sophomore Long Beach State Purdue Hannah Henriksen 6'3" *Sophomore Long Beach State Texas Tech Sara Watanabe 5'9" *Sophomore Long Beach State Arizona I don't know "what's going on"; however, many of the outgoing transfers are because of the usual issues of lack of playing time, academic disqualification, and player/coach compatibility. Watanabe left the team after the 2014 season and is now at Arizona. Henricksen played sparingly on the LBSU beach team for two seasons and never appeared on the indoor roster. Henricksen is now at Texas Tech. Tiara Wallace redshirted in 2014 and graduated from LBSU in 2016. According to inside sources, 6'2 Croatian MB Doris Bogoje didn't develop as quickly as expected and is rumored to have transferred to Hofstra. Sarah Miller and Sherridan Atkinson were dismissed more than half way through last year's BWC season for academic and behavioral issues. Atkinson is now at Purdue. Konstantopolou--6'0 OPP from Cyprus--was a serving specialist on last year's indoor team and played for LBSU's beach squad. The reason for her departure is not clear nor is the reason for RS freshman DS Lauren Palmer's departure; although it could be because of a lack of potential playing time. As for Samme Thomas, she was never expected to contribute too much indoor and is a prominent member of the beach squad.

Dominique Dodd, 5'10" sophomore setter, is listed on St. Mary's roster as a transfer. She spent her freshman year playing both indoor and beach for FIU. (She is the younger sister of former SMC setter/beach standout, Dalas Dodd.)

Dalas is the better player by a wide margin.

The article states: "Bailey, who was set to be an integral part of this year’s offense, decided to leave the team earlier this week. The decision comes on the heels of her spending time with the Pac-12 Volleyball All-Star team this summer as they traveled to China." The first thought that came to mind was that something happened in China that made her quit the program and transfer. I would be very curious to know if the school she ends up with had some connection with the Pac-12 Volleyball All-Star team.

Well, I didn't read where it said she is transferring to Cal, but ASU needs to let the players who don't want to be there, go elsewhere, and move forward with the one's who do. It's probably hard to play for someone who didn't recruit them, and most of the class you came in with are gone.

Don't know where Tawa got the info.

Buzzerio played for some really good Club West teams up until her 18's year with Coast. I remember her being a very solid all around player. Hayley Desales, and Buzzerio were both 6 rotation outsides from 14's through 17's on Nationally ranked Club West teams. When Club West shut down, she travelled a long way to play with Coast 18's, where she was stuck behind Lexi Sun, and Kendra Dahlke. Thanks for your report on Meghan. Encouraging news. Glad she decided to travel a really long way to play in Iowa City. Nice surprise that ESPN3 aired the Iowa - N. Ill match yesterday. Got to see Meghan Buzzerio play and, wow, what a nice get for Iowa. Meghan not only started as OH2 but helped the Hawkeyes to a 3-0 weekend and was named to the All-Tournament team. Her composure, defense and multiple kills from the back row were really impressive for RS Freshman.
