fwiw, Florida has consistently scheduled UNC over the past few years, though a couple times it's been in preseason tournaments. Sadly, for this fan of UNC as opposed to UNCfan, the Heels got beaten badly each time. UNC also hasn't done very well with Notre Dame.
I'm pretty sure Florida doesn't shy away from any nearby competition. They'll be scheduling Georgia Tech and other emerging strong schools in the east reasonably soon.
I also think Maryland will be in the mix next year. I like Huddleston a lot as a setter, they still have hitters, and I think the coaching there is quite effective.

Agree. The key to Maryland's success this year was the coaching. Felix took a very good volleyball player, Huddleston, and made her into a great setter. Having three focused coaches and a volunteer assistant keeps this team focused.
They seem to be struggling a little this spring but not in any one particular area. They appear to be taking a little longer than other teams in "shaking off the cobwebs". The hitting is still strong and I'm predicting some contribution by Gillming next fall. They are trying out a new libero and the freshman setter is seeing some more time this spring.
Every team in the ACC will have Maryland on it's radar so the Terps had better be ready!

the only thing they will have to adjust to is being the hunted and not the huntee...everyone will be gunning for them. they start there season off at the univ. of houston tourney against cal kansas state and univ of houston....and then play nebraska later in the year... def. a tough road ahead
