If you could reshuffle the men's teams for next year, who would you want to see together. Whether it be for fun or because you think the duos would be more competitive.
Here are a few I wish would happen.
Tim Bomgren/Tri Bourne - I am a homer but I think Tim would be an elite player if he ever made the switch to full time defense. Not going to happen since he lives in Minnesota, works full time and is loyal to Brian. But this is purely for fun.
Adrian Carambula/Ryan Doherty - Adrian isn't coming back but it sure would be fun if he did. He has the ability to create points in ways like no other player. It might not be a great match up with Ryan's occasional ball control issue but I think they could be dangerous.
Phil Dalhausser/John Mayer - Great setting, great blocking, great defense. I think this team would be great.
Sean Rosenthal/Matt Anderson - This ain't happening but it might be the one thing that could get Sean going again. Maybe in 2017.

Some interesting matchups, Phil & John would be fun to watch and John, being a coach MAY work, but I always like COMPLETELY complementary skills, emotionally too...not sure about that....BUT, getting Phil's sets and his sharp hits, sounds good.

Love to see some big/big split blocking. Jake and Phil, Tri and anyone, Page and Doherty. Not saying any would be that great, but fun.

That is something I miss from when they used to have a KOB each year on the AVP. It would be fun to see some of those lineups.

Karch and Phil vs Sinjin and Avatar. (Since we are dreaming) Best 2 out of 3, Karch and Sinjin versus Phil and Ryan. Match 1, No blocking over old old school, Match 2 1992 rules, Match 3 new rules.

I think it would be more fair to give Phil a better partner. Like Alison or Jake Gibb. Then have them play Karch and Sinjin. Ryan just isn't good enough.

I'd like to see Tri and Trevor Crabb play one and see what happens...just an interesting fantasy team to me.

Probably the best possible under 30 team in the US right now. Why not Taylor instead of Trevor? (I'm not asking that rhetorically.) I think Trevor is the better player. There were tournaments where Taylor looked really good, but he is a rookie who teams havent yet learned how to play. I think once they do, and as Trevor continues to improve, teams will be going to Taylor exclusively. Taylor's greatest strength will eventually be defense but I dont think his defensive advantage will be equal to the advantage that Trevor has siding out

Don't get me wrong...I enjoy watching them together...the brother thing, the Hawaiian thing and the stoic way the approach the matches. Maybe most impressive was the respect they both showed for Casey Jennings after an incredible rally where they both lead the applaused appreciation for his efforts. But...since this is just a completely personal and meaningless fantasy, I'd like to see what Tri could do with Treavor. Split blocking in early matches and occasional transitions would be an advantage as would Treavor's better power game. I also think his size may hold up better long term, but none of my opinions are meant to demean Taylor's abilities.
