Hawai`i fans just defend their teams that's why. We just don't jump on any person. If someone writes something to downgrade our team, we will defend our team. Isn't that what true fans usually do?
We don't just go out and jump on someone for writing something. If it's something that we think is wrong we will correct it.
That's all to it. Just respect our team and we'll respect yours.

Shanghai was a fantastic team.....Stanford is the next to play Hawaii. Then Hawaii will travel up to Southern Cal to play #2 UCI for two matches at the end of the month. Those should be some great matches. BTW nice banner.

I agree, next weeks matches against UC Irvine should be a great test to see where the Warriors really stand. With UC Irvine knocking off UCLA twice already, this road trip should see if the Warriors are deserving of the number 1 ranking or if they are at the same level as everyone else.
This weeks matches against Stanford should serve as a warm-up for the UC Irvine matches because Stanford is still trying to find the right combinations to get their team back to the top. But with the tradition that these two teams have, we shouldn't count on the Warriors having that easy of a time with the Cardinal. Because all the teams in the MPSF are decent teams and anyone can win on any given day.
Go Warriors!!!

Did anyone else notice how many calls the Shanghai team were arguing? It seemed like most of the disputed calls were going in UH's favor. I can't help but think how ugly this match could have been if the officiating was looser (more "international").

Barefoot, trying to interpret intent is a VERY SUBJECTIVE thing to do. It's natural and human however so I expect it and the UH fans always meet my expectations in this area. I am not anti-UH. I respect both their men's and women's programs and I love the way the people in the Islands support and love their volleyball, both indoor and outdoor! I merely made an observation, that I'm sure is shared by others. If anyone is being too critical it is some of the die-hard UH fans who have a very difficult time accepting any type of criticism, constructive or not, of their team, their players, their coaches, and their program! IMHO!

IMHO! 007, I don't buy your 'diplomatic' approach that you are now attempting to sell. You were only the fourth person to post on this thread, and you were not in an 'observation' mode, you were in more of an 'attack' frame of mind with your comment about UH posters being self centered in our own little world and having 'so much' animosity towards us. Personally, I think that there are simply a lot of UH volleyball supporters, and we just want to talk about volleyball. If UH plays, we want to talk even more about it with individuals on this website who are just as 'in to volleyball' as we are. Whats wrong with that? If I were to come across a thread by a Pepperdine fan with a lot of 'insider' outlooks from Pepperdine fans, it certainly wouldn't bother me. They love their team and would like to chat with Pepperdine fans or volleyball fans in general about a game or whatever. So whats the big deal? There are so many other threads that you can spend your time on, or if you'd like, start your own.....hell, start 10 if you'd like. We're all free to talk about whatever we'd like in as much depth as we'd like, and we all know how to start our own thread right? Am I right or wrong?

Spin, I think you're right!!!
It's funny stuff always.....perhaps sometime soon someone will "attack" Hawai'i fans because of the screen names they use...claiming that Hawai'i fans use Hawaiian names and slang to keep others out of their little circle. ...then they'll make Subtle rude remarks about Hawai'i fans...and how Hawai'i fans are constantly offended and how they love to attack people and defend their team... and then imply that Hawai'i fans asks for it....Remember...Not everything Pablo is right....registered members can be trolls toooo.
People when will this end?

I think that Pedro played very well tonight and he should have started from the beginning. I agree Eyal should have stayed in. I also think that Matt Motter did an awesome job at libero. But Shanghai just over powered the Warriors. As of now, what I like to see is Pedro starting and Zimet playing Libero instead of Muise.

As of now, what I like to see is Pedro starting and Zimet playing Libero instead of Muise. This actually sounds like a good idea. Because Eyal is an excellent passer, but at times we is good offensively as well, but I'm sure Pedro will be able to produce on the opposite side so Eyal can play libero. Well I guess Mike Wilton knows best and he'll do what he thinks will work. And until they lose to an NCAA team then I guess there is no need to change.
