Does Taraflex require something underneath it? Like tape or other sticky stuff? Or is the bottom already coated in adhesive? The floor looks A++

USC posted some highlights of Ariail, Glock, and Smith who signed for 2021. Smith is listed as MB/RS, but I thought she was recruited as an OH from other posts on here.
Any thoughts on if Ariail will move positions? She jumps well but it a bit undersized for a MB.

Re Ariail, damn she could play anywhere on the frontline. Her whole TAV team is "undersized" but I think she jumps so well that it doesn't really matter. I mean, I've seen some pretty standout middles come through the Pac-12 that were 6'1 and under.

Having watched her play and train quite a bit, she's smooth, pushes a nice tempo (Keller probably won't push as hard as Crouch), and her teammates respond well to her.

Can you explain the pop/float thing with the pop/mid and float/bic? I couldn’t follow.

From the sources I’ve heard Smith plays middle on her club team but outside for her high school, so she could possibly play OH, MB, or OPP in college.

When you think of men's volleyball principles applied to the women's game you think of Northwestern? What about the bic or swing blocking? How are those experiments working out?

Really? When you think of men's volleyball principles applied to the women's game you think of Northwestern? What about the bic or swing blocking? How are those experiments working out? It worked out OK for Washington. There are so many techniques that have influenced the women's game that posters like n00b just think of them as volleyball. It's ignorant to suggest that the concepts Keller is talking about might not directly translate to the women's game (other schools are already using them) and then cite Northwestern as some kind of model for the failure of men's concepts in the women's game.
