Fall-2021 USC is going to improve on their .467 spring-2021 PAC12 winning percentage. Fall-2021 USC is not going to be competitive for the PAC12 championship. (Prediction is subject to revision if a lot more transfers join the WOT) Not sure why they wouldn't be? They went 5 with all the Pac-12 tournament teams. I'm not convinced their "upgrades" will be that much of an upgrade.

I think if will provide them with more depth and better competition in the practice gym which certainly can’t hurt. Is usc getting any first team AA star transfers ? No. But are they getting solid players who have proven they can compete with best in the ncaa ? Yes.

Hammons would be an upgrade to the OH2 position from this past season. At passing in the very least. Serve receive is USC's Achilles heel.

I wanted Scully a lot more than Hammons. what’s bout the Turkish lefty player Payman? Is she coming ? Peyman is not. Turkish news said she's going to Miami (FL).
Also Polish comments mentioned Gryka isn't returning. She's going to play in Poland (not 100% confirmed)

If Hammons plays libero, USC is in trouble. If she’s their O2, USC is in trouble. Sorry. Could see her DS-ing for one of the outside hitters, but only situationally.

We either had Schirmer (weak passer, mediocre defender, tentative hitter) or Owes (really bad passer, bad defender, error-fest hitter). Also Botkin is a poor passer, so at least hopefully we'd be down to 1/3 poor passers.

I wouldn’t believe that. As big of a hammons fan as I am, she’s not very good at defense. Very good ball control and serve receive but has not proved herself to be a great defender whatsoever. She’s not known for digging heat or chasing down tips / shots off the block. Just has really good serve receive and is decent everywhere else She has potential though. Plus, it has been done in the past. Cat Knop who was an outside at the beginning of her career switched over to the libero position after not being the best at defense. She ended up helping Florida to a national championship. So maybe it could be done w Paige? Caroline Knop was an outstanding all-around player and back row defender during her prep days. I saw her club team many times. I’m not sure why she chose Michigan out of high school. During her junior year and senior year (with a broken finger) at Florida she was outstanding at digging and passing.
She was always good at floor defense and passing. It’s not like she suddenly became much better when she landed in Florida.
Bring back Mick.
