Didnt follow her too much at IU, but I’m pretty sure she didn’t start too much there. If anything she’s there more to have an experienced back up setter/competition for hazelwood. I just don’t think any transfer setter is taking Mia’s spot really unless they’re an all American. Brad benched Lazaro for Mia. Lazaro went on to the national finals. He clearly isn’t seeing clearly. Mia will never be challenged, regardless of what we mere mortals see. Lazaro should have been benched long before Mia got there. But there wasn't another option. She's a perfectly nice kid, but, at best, she's erratic, frantic, and provides zero leadership. Which was fine with a strong receiving core and upperclassmen at Louisville, but certainly would not have gotten it done with the youth and need for leadership at USC. And even then, she got benched when things got tough because she couldn't keep it together. Different groups need different things. Louisville was a right place, right time scenario for Lazaro. And Mia was the right person for the job at USC.

The year she was benched for Mia, wasn't that team almost entirely upper-classmen and grads? Weske, Denny, Owes, Botkin, S. Smith, Horin, Scully, Baumert?

Just in case the SC indoor faithful didn’t notice, the Women of Troy defeated the Bruins, in somewhat of an upset today, to 3-peat as Beach National Champions.
Lots of support from the indoor players has been shared on Insta and I imagine on whatever platforms the kids use these days.
