What are everyone's thoughts on defensive juking(head fakes, change of direction etc.)?
On one hand it can be very effective versus an attacker that looks a lot; on the other hand you can cheat yourself out of easy digs.

How big is your block vs. the hitters? 2. your speed 3. how well your side sides out They only player I've ever even tried that against was Eddie Cherry, he hit a low "2 ball" set out of the middle and always was looking at you defensively. You start getting into double and triple moves and sometimes you look very bad, but sometimes you get lucky. For me, I kind of hang behind the block until the set is made, then can get to my position, (on balanced)

Generally a waste of of time below the Pro/AAA level.

I have found in the B and lower level tournaments I participate in that when I Dab in the middle of a point it throws everyone off and I've been able to pick up some easy points during a match….please note, it is effective only once or twice during a match though
