Does anyone know the structure of AI tournament? Will all the teams compete against each other that weekend? I know most but not all Invitationals have teams playing 3 duals total. A lot of good for Long beach and FIU could come out of this tournament if they beat Hawaii, USC, or each other. The competing teams are: Hawaii USC Long Beach State FIU ULM GCU Washington FIU is definitely out. Events start tomorrow (Thursday, 4/21 with pairs; UH is sitting out the pairs competition). Things wrap themselves up on Saturday, 4/23. The list remaining, with rankings, goes as follows (via twitter): DiG Mag pre / current & AVCA-10 pre / currentUSC #1 / 1 & #1 (of 10) / #1 UH #3 / 5 & #3 (of 10) / 5 LBSU #5 / 6 & #5 (of 10) / 6 Grand Canyon #15 / 16 & . Washington #11 / RV & . U. of Louisiana-Monroe Further information can be found here. That's all.

The Aloha Invitational is not the premier college beach tournament in the land. Also, LBSU won last year because of some stupid rule about the #1 flight taking all the points.

Mr. Bustah Hall needs to hit up Alexa Strange..she's smokin' hot! You hearing this Jeff?. --- Also, I'm not so sure that I agree with Dain Blanton hosting. It's kinda a conflict of interest being at $C. I'd go with the previous AVPs Scott's (Sean and Rachel) OR Stanley's (& Outrigger CC connections), they could do it with Dodd.

Of course WA is on it, unlike everyone else. twitter.com/UW_BeachVBBeals apparently made the trip to Waikiki too.

I guess that they (Aloha Invite, Inc.) are using both Queens and The Ching, on campus. link

LBSU loses to GCU 1-4 which really hurts their chances for an NCAA bid. This puts them behind in the common opponents criteria against some bubble teams, as well as making it more difficult to post a winning record.

Would getting to the final of their conference championship and going 3-2 with UH get them into the tournament? Beating Hawaii would tie them in criteria with some teams, although the margin of victory does not matter. I will try to do a team by team breakdown for the last spot tomorrow.
