They sit #2 in qualifying and have both battled injuries. They are a tough entertaining team- kind of an against all odds pair but seem to be dismissed in discussions about our best teams

In 2016, their record is: 25th, 9th, 25th, 25th, 9th. Those are not lovable finishes.

Well in some of those finishes Brooke was. Serving underhand and hitting left handed. They have competed well when healthy

I'm going with the Throwback Thursday answer... it's because they never got a cute team name. I can't remember very many, but Krossy, Team Beautiful, All-Day... uh.. drawin a blank here help me out.
Anyway, that's why. For the record, I kinda like 'em!

No cute name comes to mind, but is there a player more aptly named than Sweat? She is all about effort and working hard. Wish them luck, but will be a tough road to hoe.

Its definitely that they arent very good and when they are even slightly off their game they get really bad losses. Maybe also that they constantly skip AVP events?

Lauren & Brooke are wonderful individuals and hardworking dedicated athletes, yet an example of how the USA /FIVB/Olympic qualifying process if completely flawed.
Based upon their last 5-6 finishes how can they be the 2nd best US hope for showing our best athletes in Rio?
Because of injuries they are strategically waiting to fulfill the role by hoping for 3 good FIVB showings & not blowing up any body parts. Logical but pathetic.
Gather all USA Bvb players in a 2 -3 month USA qualifier series and the two winning pairs go, whom ever they are. Pro, college or in between. We do this for most Olympic sports already.
The white elephant in the room cannot hide anymore & these qualification systems must be rehashed .
The politics in our volleyball culture is inbreed and needs to be flushed clean, imho.

As far as the nickname goes they are the Dog and Pony show. Honestly I do not see any women team for the USA getting fab results for second yet.Hopefully that will change soon.

Let's shoot off a letter to Ary Garca and see if he goes for this!
