I am trying to create a t-shirt collection called "Beach Volleyball Cities of the World" so I wanted to gather everybody's opinion. I know California as the whole state and Rio de Janerio can be two of the major BVB cities but can you guys name more? Here is my list, please tell me what you think:
1. Rio de Janerio, Brazil 2. California, USA 3. Barcelona, Spain 4. Sydney, Australia 5. The Hague, the Netherlands 6. Phuket, Thailand 7. Antalya, Turkey 8. Doha, Qatar

Klagenfurt, Gstaad, Stavanger, Berlin, Moscow - all places that have hosted major beach volleyball events annually over the past 12-15 years.
In the USA: Hermosa Beach, CA (THE capital of beach VB), Manhattan Beach (CA), Huntington Beach (CA), Will Rogers State Beach (CA), Santa Cruz (CA), Clearwater (FL).
I wouldn't consider Barcelona for the list. Doha and Antalya are really pretty recent to the beach scene. Sydney...Hmm, I don't know. Bondi Beach, maybe?
Miami? I'd go Clearwater or Lauderdale in FL before Miami. IMO, of course.
I'm sure I missed a city or two.

HB has developed their waterfront with several new resorts. The City should step it up. Ed owns the State beach!
When Hermosa is done with their new waterfront, but logistics for fans sucks as does Manhattan.
AVP should look a Gulf Shore, AL. That place is really down to earth with southern hospitality. They look to capture the NCAA's for years to come and are a beach friendly govt. Plenty of places to lodge and drinking on he beach.
Marine Street, Rosecrans, South side of the HB pier remain training staples for SoCal players. The deep sands of Emerald Bay with McKnight & OB running the courts in legendary.

Outrigger Canoe Club area in Hawaii (the mac-daddy) and these others have had volleyball groupings for over 40 years or so; Toronto, Canada; Charlotte Beach, Rochester, NY; new jersey shores; san juan, Puerto Rico...
