Claes and Hughes will be there. Thats a change, although not to teams that will contend since on the US side thats exactly one team. I'd love a rematch between them and Ross/Carico to see how those teams have progressed in comparison to each other.
Mayer/Slick could be a sleeper if Phil/Nick get hurt or forfeit or something.
Hunter, Salak and Wes Moore all playing. Nice to see old school NY/NJ representing a little bit.

Little curious why Bourne and Hyden are still doing FIVB over AVPs? Would have thought it would have been for a last ditch effort for Rio but now that they are eliminated they are still doing FIVB.

I'd like to say more money, since it's a grand slam. But you got to make it to 5th for it to be worth it....and since they didn't make it out of pool last week....

Another question is why is Tri still with John at all. I guess they probably entered these in advance but I will be very curious to see how long Tri sticks with John and what John does after

Oh, and looking at teams registered, Keenan and Rogers are signed up for SF! that should be fun.

They got beat pretty bad by Ross/Carico at Manhattan if I recall correctly. But seems like Claes has improved quite a bit since then.

Q brackets and seeding are out.
Nothing crazy on the men's side, except that Brazao and Weaver are in the MD. The men's Q seems a bit lite this week.
The women's side, Hughes and Claes seeded 5th in the Q, also Main draw regular Kelly Schumacher is in the Q and will face Jace Pardon and Tiegs in the 2nd round. The MD seeding looks normal to me for a change.

I love AVP on the east coast, results from the Q already coming in! Lucas and Dentler facing off in a battle of ex indoor teammates and beach partners (Also Donahue and Lucas have played qualifiers together). Wish Eric had stuck with it on the beach a little more.

Nice first round match up for Claes/Hughes vs Geena/Benny. It should tell fans how far they have come or how far they have to go.

Out of the 8 women who made it out of the Q, 5 were playing college Sand last year.
Fiume / Wiggins & Del Conte are the only one NOT.
