Will the FIVB be streaming matches via Youtube like they do for any other big international tournament? Anyone know? I've got sling TV, but I'm not in one of the markets with NBC. ugh. Can you get an NBC station over the air? As long as your TV has a built in tuner, you can get an antenna for under $10.

Just went to nbcolympics.com to see if they had added Sling TV to their authentication list. Instead, I was automatically authenticated by xFinity (Comcast), despite not having NBCSN on my tier (Economy). SURPRISE. (I do have NBC, Bravo, and USA).
Note: the nbcolympics.com stream is about 13 seconds ahead of the NBCSN broadcast.

I noticed that you don't need to have an account to watch the live stream Olympic events. NBC allows you to watch for half an hour FREE at (nbcolympics.com)! When the half hour is done, you need to delete all your history, etc. from CHROME and in order to start the 30 minute clock again. I don't think this works with FIREFOX (i.e., you need to use CCleaner in order to delete more things). This only works for live events (and keeps streaming for about half an hour or so after the event is over). Also, the live events allow you to move backwards and forwards through the stream, so you can watch a set, then reset Chrome, watch another set, etc.

Thanks for starting this thread and the info, redbeard. I'm now using Unblock-Us and it's working very well.

Sling TV has now moved CNBC and MSNBC to the Blue Package ($25/mo), meaning you don't have to pay another $5/mo just to get those two channels. That means that all of NBC's channels covering the Olympics are now in the Blue Package of channels, although NBC itself is only available in select markets. I don't know if this will be just for the Olympics or ongoing.

When I go to Sling TV's site, MSNBC & CNBC are still listed under "World News Extra - $5" when the Blue or Orange/Blue packages are selected above. I wonder if it's a regional thing?

I saw an item online that states that Sling TV is indeed adding those two channels to the Blue Package free of charge during the Olympics. Thanks.

In Sling TV (on my Roku2), CNBC and MSNBC are listed under the Guide option (you might have to choose the "News" filter) - they were not listed under My TV, although I was able to add them (choose Edit). I've been able to watch both - I have the Blue package, but NOT the associated "World News Extra" add-on. I don't have any of the other channels in that package. I've also got them through the Sling app on my laptop. I'm thinking it is just for the Olympics.

In Seattle, I'm lucky enough to have the CBC station (CBUT) on my Comcast Economy tier. CBC lost the Canadian bid to cover the 2010 Winter and 2012 Summer Olympics, but regained it for 2014 and 2016. If you are close to the border and have cable, check to see if a CBC station is on your tier. If very close to the border (Bellingham, WA, for instance), you might be able to get a CBC station over the air.
One benefit of watching CBC coverage is that they don't delay already delayed coverage, nor do they blackout coverage so they can show "excerpts" in Prime Time.

Saw Glass and Harmotto-Dietzen in the delegation. The Spanish Harmatta was dead-center in the screen for about 5-10 seconds.

Had to laugh! The cameras zeroed in, and stayed on different groups of ladies from the USA Women's Volleyball Team; and 'silence' - the announcers, and I guess their spotters didn't have a clue!
