I like Leia over Camila.
Gabi will most likely play OPP if anything or possibly Adenizia as she has before.

Shall we categorize this roster Fabiola's redemption? She was really jobbed of a spot in 2012

After being cut from OG roster, Camila Brait (L, 27 yo) announces retirement from NT via Instagram account. I feel sad for Camila. She was considered to be Fabi's heir apparent after the London Games..and rightfully so she played well until this year when Leia came into the scene and played magnificently especially on that finals vs USA in the Grand Prix. I hope the pressure of the Olympic Games being played in Brazil won't affect Leia as she is relatively inexperienced in international matches.

I'm not sure Brait was ever really in favor. She outplayed Fabi leading up to London but still got left off the roster (and Fabi did more than enough in the Olympics to justify that) and now got clipped by a late surge from Leia. Ze clearly just doesn't have confidence in her.

Ze clearly just doesn't have confidence in her. IIRC, Ze actually brought Camilla to London where Brazil played a couple of friendlies before the start of competition should Natalia (who was injured leading up to the games and hadn't competed) not physically be able to participate. She then got sent home....

So Gabi replaces Paula, Fabiola replaces Fernandinha, Leia replaces Fabi, and Juciely indirectly replaces Tandara. That's a strong returning roster.
