Team USA (with their B-team) is mopping up the floor with their exhibition game opponents, winning by an average margin of more than 40 points. Who can seriously challenge them in Rio? It's almost comical watching what they're doing to their opponents. Team USA looks to be having a lot of fun playing together. I'm thinking that their opponents are just honored to be on the same court.

Not all players are B Team. Durant, Cousins, Thompson, Green, Jordon, George and Kyrie would all make an A squad IMO. Lebron, Harnden, Paul, Westbrook, Blake and Davis are missing.
I would like to watch the teams from Croatia and Lithuania, those country are really emerging as a basketball talent pool. Regardless no one will come close to challenging the US.
If another great player goes down, like George did, you might see a push to return to using NCAA players in the Olympics.

A starting lineup of, say, Durant, Anthony, Jordan/Cousins, Irving, and George is an A team.
The only team capable of beating this version of Team USA would be a healthy Spain. Unfortunately, Spain isn't healthy - M. Gasol and Ibaka are out. France might hang with USA for a half. Argentina is too old
I don't think you'll see the USA ever go back to using college players.

Also, S. Curry, K. Leonard, D. Lillard, and L. Aldridge are missing as well.
Croatia with just over 4 million population and Lithuania with just under 3 million are certainly interesting. The fact that they can put such competitive teams on the floor in such events speaks volume about their love of basketball as a country. I really like when small countries come out and give it everything. I still remember when Argentina defeated USA in the semis of the 2004 Olympics and when Greece defeated USA in the semis at the 2006 FIBA World Championship. Nothing is a given.

I think many people call the current team (arguably) a B-team because the USA could put another team on the floor from the missing player pool who could beat the B-team.

Nobody should be able to compete with USA team even with some top players missing.
