I don't know if anyone else is watching, but Serbia is owning China. Boskovic had 12 points in the first set (10 of the first 13 for Serbia!) and in set 2, Mihajlovic had quite a few bombs herself. China looking very out of sorts all around. Zhu Ting probably only has a handful of kills.
Serbia up 2-0, 5-2 in the third

China's youth has shown during this tournament. I haven't been overly impressed with them. Of course, they could still turn it on when they get to the quarterfinals

I set my alarm for 05:10 PDT to watch this and USA men's team fencing. Up anyways for the woso QF marathon.
China -19-19 Serbia. And China actually looked a bit better in G2. They need some fire.
G3: 02-07 Tc1. Oh noes that's not the way.
13-15 Zhu Ting left tool 14-15 Zhu Ting left cross 16-16 Bošković right seam to baseline 16-18 Zhu Ting inside left blocked (Bošković) 16-19 Tc2. Lang Ping is about as non-fiery as Speraw.
Egypt's 4th(?) fencer Essam just twisted his right ankle? Dunno how that impacts a team bout. He resumes.
18-22 Zhu Ting bic. Serbia challenge ... in. 21-23 Mihajlović pipe tip ... dive fails 21-24 China blocked covered, Mihajlović left soft-blocked, Zhu Ting bic tool 22-24 Ts1
22-24 Mihajlović left tool down, dive dig into or under net 22-25
China -19-19-22 Serbia. Serbia bounce back big, China tailspins.

Yikes! What is happening with China! I expected them to be a favorite for this tournament. Almost any team in the tournament could have beat them with their performance today.

A potential China vs Brazil/Russia in the quarterfinals.

I'm not surprised by the result. China is not a contender. I've said from the beginning, China is way too inconsistent to deliver when it counts. They cannot handle pressure. They wilt under the stress.
Sure, they won last year's World Cup, but the Olympics is at an another level. The Chinese buckled under pressure at this top level.
US should win 3-0 against China, easy.

Watch #11 serve from China. Looks like her back foot faults when she serves. What is the rule? Both feet behind the line before contacting the ball?
Looks like her back foot drags beyond the line, then she contacts the ball. Everything looks different in real time, so I'm wondering if it's just TV.

China will be hungry for a win against USA Serbia vs Netherlands should be fun.. Both fighting for second place in pool! I agree. China will now go easily, and they know USA so well. There won't be any surprises on either side of the net, will come down to execution. Very excited for this match. The only thing is that if USA clinches the pool, they'll play in the last QF on Tuesday at 8:25pm ET, 20 minutes after transatlantic flight departs. UGH.

I honestly don't know how China will respond tomorrow. I thought they would come out ready to go against Serbia, but what we saw was nothing like that. Of course, give credit to Serbia, they played extremely well
