I love athletes who are not afraid to speak their minds and tell the truth (not everyone should be as fake as roger federer). However, saying the other team was classless because of their strategy (however true that is) was a bit of a stretch, and a bit much from Hope Solo. She'd need a great deal of PR work to get back in this.
BTW if you didn't see the PKs, you should know the US completely choked on their first and last kicks, not exactly Hope Solo's fault on that.

.. snip .. BTW if you didn't see the PKs, you should know the US completely choked on their first and last kicks, not exactly Hope Solo's fault on that. _THIS_ .. solo can blather on about whatever & i dont care to criticize or judge her, but her complaint served a couple useful purposes for the team that lost solo is the bad MFer & in the public's (lamestream media's) eye - not the team - ellis & players - for all their failures .. i'm talking 'bout solo & she can take it her own mind is settled that sweden played ugly/cowardly & showed little interest in the "beautiful game" usa was trying to play final note - the great Marta choked too, putting Morgan & Press in lofty company

All of this also misses the fact that Sweden's coach is in the brains of every US player over the age of 28. If they played for Pia S, trained for her--she mentally owns them.
Has the US beaten Sweden since she became the Swedish coach?
