Weird play. Brazil guy hits Italian guys hand into net and is net violation on Italy. I thought that was Brazil's fault.

Weird play. Brazil guy hits Italian guys hand into net and is net violation on Italy. I thought that was Brazil's fault. Yea but I guess accidental contact like that isn't a violation. Weird

Wallace hit the hand of Juantorena which led to Juantorena's hand touching the net. I got that, but how's is Italy violation? Only thing I can guess is that it was the Italian player that hit net so violation on him. The incidental contact wasn't violation

Italy challenge too late, denied Italy -22-26-24 Brasil. That was ... anticlimactic.

So Brazil wins with a nervous agitated intense passionate coach who is the antithesis of the USA model for coaching, hmmmm, interesting

Too bad Obama screwed up the Chicago bid or we could have had this celebration in 2020

And again, the 4th team in the pool play takes the gold. Much like what the Chinese women did.
Congrats to Brazil. From having to play a do-or-die match vs France to sweeping both its semis and finals opponents. Hats off to the team.
MVP, IMHO- Bruno (setter). Wallace might get the credit for blasting Italy off of the court with his spikes but Bruno's setting was simply topnotch. Bruno made Giannelli look like an amateur.
