That is about as dumb as it gets. If football didn't exist the way it is, most of the women's programs would not exists. If any woman in her sport can bring in a revenue to match football, she would get that same pay. It is absolutely about fairness. Equal access to academics and athletics between the genders. It has done marvelous things for women in life, and female athletics in general. Your football rant is not part of the discussion. Of course NCAA athletics would look differently without the revenue sports. Equal pay is part of the professional sport debate. However barely, the NCAA is currently not a professional league. Damnnnnn, share some of the stuff you are smoking, because it must be top shelf…..The NCAA is a multi BILLION DOLLAR business. The only thing it doesn't do is compensate the athletes. It's a minor league training ground for professionals with little care of what happens to its scholastic athletes after their time is served. Title IX has done some good things for women sports, but schools that have larger revenue streams coming in from men's football and basketball programs can create more opportunity…..be honest, does the University of Kentucky care more about it's men's basketball program doing well or it's women's volleyball team? Do you think the bean counters are saying "now, we have to be fair" or are the saying "crap, we need to dump more funding over here or there could be a potential investigation if people start to complain"

This thread is about title 1X, and it's legacy. Not the corruption within the NCAA regarding revenue and pecking order. I smoke Jamaican stuff bro, but even at my worst I can understand the corruption within the NCAA. Do you really think you are enlightening people to the fact that the NCAA is a money machine?
