no prob:) 3 easy matches for Chieri.
The tourney is down to 16 teams now which will play rr in 4 groups of 4. top 2 from each will proceed to QF. I think Chieri should win this tourney with relative ease. I can only see Eczacibasi of Turkey putting up a challenge to them but even they are not as strong as we are used to seeing them. I hope at least that they end up meeting each other in the final...

Hey,
Thanks for the info. Just by curiosity. I when to the Cev website to check out and noticed that Chieri is the only Italian team registered. Is that possible? How come some countries have 2 teams and not Italy?.... just wondering... Also, do you know how long this competition will last? ... ;D thanks for the info in advance... am to lazy to read the regulation ;D

Hey, Thanks for the info. Just by curiosity. I when to the Cev website to check out and noticed that Chieri is the only Italian team registered. Is that possible? How come some countries have 2 teams and not Italy?.... just wondering... Also, do you know how long this competition will last? ... ;D thanks for the info in advance... am to lazy to read the regulation ;D The number of teams that goes to TT depends on how many teams from the same country are registered in IECL. Until this year it used to be that, any one country could not have more than two teams total in both tourney. Most of the time what this did was that countries with good teams (like ITA, TUR and SPA) entered 2 teams to IECL and none to TT. And TT, despite being the 2nd Cup of CEV, did not have the level of competition that the 3rd Cup, the CEV Cup did. This year countries who have 2 teams in IECL are allowed one team to Top Teams. Those countries who do not have teams in IECL can have 2 teams in TT. That is why there is only one Italian team (just like one TUR team) How the initial numbers are determined is another story and probably easier understood reading the reg. This competition will last until about March. Now there will be groups of 4 round robin. Top 2 then will qualify for the QF where they will play home and away matches. The qualifying 4 will play the Final Four then.
