Is Larson or Barboza the L1? Larson has consistently scored more points than anyone in this tournament. IS she catching up on Barboza as the number 1 recruit for 2005?

I don't really following national prep recruiting rankings much. Are you saying that Barboza had been or is ranked #1 in the 2005 class? By who? Where was/is Larson?

The photo above explains Crimes's deceptive vertical: she has two heads.
Barboza is the #1 recruit. No way one of the final cuts for the 2004 Olympic team could be anything but.
Larson, however, is fabulous.

Not that this is a definitely accurate source, but someone on the Prep Vball site mentioned Barboza having a sore knee. Might explain it.

If her knee is in fact feeling some soreness, it is absolutely understandable. Her body has gone through a lot of tough, intense training this past year, more so than her body is used to.
I have heard that she is going to take the season off from her high school team. I think that is a smart move....she has gone through a lot since January, and it will give her body some time to rest and she will be able to enjoy herself for a little bit, not that she doesn't enjoy volleyball, but her body has got to be beat.

On Prepvb, Tawa says that Barboza will play this high school season.

She has "stated" that she will play her senior season, but I wouldn't count on it......her team isn't going to be anywhere near as good as it has been the past couple of years and she may "decide" to sit this one out.......

I think it also depends on the matchups. Larson could be going against the setter most of the frontrow rotations while Barboza might have to get pass the taller opposite. Just my thoughts.....

If Barboza is as good as she is bragged up to be whether she was going up against the setter or the opposite should have been no factor. She should have scored at will against either. For this tournament anyway Larson was simply the better player.
