Woo Hoo! Leaving tonight for Athens, via a direct flight to Paris. I'm excited. I'll be at every vb match -- men's and women's, if at all possible. And of course, swimming and basketball and some track & field. But first a little sightseeing before the Games begin. There was a lot of Greece and Athens I missed the first time I visited a couple of years ago.
Anyway, if there's a chance they will play "America the Beautiful" instead of "The Star-Spangled Banner" when the USA players stand on the Gold medal podium, then I'll be there for the medal presentation. Otherwise, can't stand the By Dawn's Early Light...
I'm thinking Danielle will be a monster at the Olympics, like in 2000.
So, I'll be gone for the next 3 weeks from the forum.

I'm leaving tomorrow. Flying in to Cincinnati and driving to Athens. Hope I can get a room.

There's no Motel 6 in Athens. What d'ya think? I was born yesterday!? There is a Super8, however. Check out the breakfast area!  Looks a little cramped, considering how packed it must be, but first class, all the way. I think I can even make out a toaster! Sweet! |
