Guess the transfer wasn't about playing time, given that she'll have to sit.

Until I hear otherwise this is why I think she transferred. So you're going to take a spontaneous FB comment by an excited parent and extrapolate that to conclude that she left Michigan for playing time, when she transferred INTO a program where she will have to sit in 2017, compete with four other back row players (including 2 on scholarship) in 2018, compete with SIX other back row players in 2019, and lose a year of eligibility overall? How do you square that circle? It seems like you're married to a particular narrative.

You evidently don't know Sheffield too well if you think he said that. That wasn't Sheff. That was a now-deleted comment on the Michigan VB Facebook post announcing that MacKenzie Welsh made the U20 team, but made no mention of Clark. That was the event that clued VTers into the prospect of Clark transferring.

Ok. I understand. I thought the poster was stating this as fact re: Clark.
Thanks for the clarification!

Southern California. She was tagged in a tweet with stats from their game today and is from SoCal. How is a player who barely played at LSU supposed to be a contributor at USC? Could easily say that about Lauryn Gillis "How is a player that barely played at USC supposed to be a contributor at Wisconsin?" Some players just do not fit in at a place and either it affects their game or there is somebody ahead of them for whatever reason

Blossom Sato - 5'9" Jr Setter - Mississippi State to Pepperdine Interesting, I assume this was already known that she was leaving but unannounced until it was final which is why Kath transferred in

She played already in a match against one of the Scandinavian teams. Also, didn't she go to HS with Reni? It may make her more comfortable to have a long-time teammate by her side.

Some players just do not fit in at a place and either it affects their game or there is somebody ahead of them for whatever reason Except that Gillis was a top-10 recruit, who spent one year at USC either injured or in Haley's doghouse. Then, transferred to a team that plays at a similar level. Welsh was not a top-100 recruit. Spent 2 years on LSU's bench. Then, transferred to a much higher level program. So, not even close to being a comparable comparison.
