Are there any freshman who won the conference Player of the year? If there is none, Pavan could be the first to do that. She could also be the first non Stanford player to win 4 first team all american title. In answer to your question, Stacey Gordon (another Canadian)(at Ohio State) won the National Freshman of the Year, Big Ten Freshman of the Year, AVCA MidEast Region Freshman of the Year, and an All American that same year (2000). She was Player of the Year in the conference the next year. |
