Hopefully a U.S. Win!!! ;D LOL... BTW, i'm very proud to see the athletes from our very own Long Beach State making their contributions to team USA!!! Whenever a volleyball match is on, we're all over it! Let's hope the men and women bounce back from their first losses... GO USA!!! GO BEACH!!!

Germany is a tough serving team and puts up a solid block - if team USA continue to struggle in passing, Germany could beat them.
I'm afraid that what happened in the China match showed the problem of Toshi's squad selection. When one of the OHs struggles, USA are going to be in trouble. Nnamani is undoubtedly terrific in the front row, but doesn't seem to be relied on to pass all the way round. Cross-Battle doesn't have the hitting anymore, and didn't exactly pass perfectly when she came on against China. Metcalfe is on the bench, but Toshi needs her for the power sub later in the set.
Regardless, China was always going to be a tough start. USA has had a reality check - no more, no less at this stage - and can get right back on track by beating Germany.

FYI
Just wanted to let everyone know that NBC has changed its schedule. They were planning on showing the USA/Germany match this evening. Now, they have it listed on its afternoon schedule.

NBC is so stupid for changing the schedule at the last minute! Now, I missed the match!!! Well, good thing USA won... so who is next for the USA?

USA plays Dominican Republic. USA needs to sweep in three sets so that they can set themself up for the changeover. If USA can finish second to China then hopefully they will have Korea or Japan who will probably finish in the 3rd spot. That would be a favorable matchup than Italy or Brazil whom USA has had problems with recently.
